Hands-on Experience

Hands-on Experience:

The biggest portion of you time in the CML will be spent working at an existing partner ministry. About three days a week will be spent at your site (this gives you a few days a week to work a part time job and earn some money). While on site you will be a part of implementing and participating in the ministry that is already taking place, as well as developing new avenues for your organization to impact their community. CQMissional partners with existing organizations to provide your field placement. Depending on your specific interests there are several types of ministries you could be placed in:

Urban Community Development

Serve people through urban social ministry context. Become a part of the solution- getting to know real people in the city and making a contribution towards social healing and change. The Green Country Event Center in East Tulsa has partnered with local schools, fed their multi-cultural community, and have become a haven for community and family change. They provide fertile ground for partnering, learning, and pioneering.

Youth Ministry

Be a youth worker in a church that welcomes folks like you who know you love God and love people in their teens. Partner with the church staff to create a ministry that is real, sustainable, and focused on what really counts. Redeemer Covenant Church in Tulsa, OK provide supportive atmospheres with real people ready to connect and grow together.

International Development

Join a team in another country to serve people and provide a true contribution to an international mission effort. If you have a heart for the world- join this team, and learn what your role in the big picture is during the process. Initiatives International and Telltheirstory.org connect us with local leaders and real people in Central and South America. Opportunities in Ireland and Africa are also possible.

Camp and Retreat Community

The camp and retreat community provides a unique setting for creating change in your own life as well as serving people in the context of temporary community, and local rural ministry.
